SA VA has created strategic community partnerships with the People's Emergency Center and The Career Wardrobe. Part of our support to them is providing our fashion community with ways to get involved. We host food and clothing drives twice a year to benefit both PEC and The Career Wardrobe. We chose to partner with these organizations because of their dedication to empower and help women and children in the Philadelphia community. The Career Wardrobe has a mission to empower women in transition by providing programs which inspire the confidence necessary to achieve self-sufficiency and pursue a productive career. The organization does so by providing professional work attire, educational programs and networking tools and opportunities.
People's Emergency Center nurtures families, strengthens neighborhoods, and drives change. The organization is committed to increasing equity and opportunity throughout the entire Philadelphia community. PEC provides comprehensive supportive services to homeless women and their children, revitalizes their West Philadelphia neighborhood, and advocates for social justice.
