Spring is coming at SA VA in more ways than one and I wanted to personally share with you the exciting things going on and some great news!
For starters, I don't know about you but I rarely update my beauty look. This Spring in particular seems like a good time to try something new! There are some gorgeous looks out there, the natural eye and bright lip and true Hollywood style that I fell in love with. On April 24th we will be holding the Spring 2013 Makeup Trend Event, hosting expert stylists from Beans Beauty who will be showing guests how to get the latest Spring 13 beauty looks and how to make them work for their own style and complexion. (psst! You will also get a 15% discount on purchases at the event). We would love to see you there!
Spring has finally come to the store and there are some key pieces that are entering in to my uniform, I have the Malla skirt and Vera top in three colors! What can I say, the ruching gets me every time, guess that's why the Dominique and Louisa are next on my list. We also made some custom prints, my fav! I am always a sucker for Damask prints but sometimes you need to switch it up, so we modernized it a bit in the Daisy dress. Put that on a stretch cotton sateen in a classic shift with modern dart and you have what I think is a fresh but timeless piece. Too, we have some incredible accessories, easy tanks & t's, scarves and more to come in the next few weeks!
Behind the scenes we have been making leaps and bounds strides at SA VA. In many ways it is Spring for me as a designer too. We are incredibly fortunate to announce our new partners John DePaul, former owner & President of Lehigh Press and Jay Levitt, former CEO of May Company. The guidance and support of two incredible professionals is helping create an outstanding team and on a personal level helping me get back to the job I love, designing!
Kicking off our new beginning, last week we moved our design studio to Port Richmond to a studio art space at the Loom Building. It's the kind of creative space I always envisioned working in. And though we are all thinking Spring right now, Fall is front and center in the studio as our reps are traveling in 33 states with the Collection.
I am really proud of this collection and there are some key pieces that I am already coveting. (Irene, Sasha, Desiree, Althea, Zuzu to name a few!) We stayed true to what we do best, easy shifts in new styles, accents of leather in just the right place, exposed zipper (think our inaugural collection) drape and ruching, subtle texture and pops of color. We are using some new fabric mills that have incredible quality to elevate the design and some that are utilize new technology in sustainable textiles. I wanted to share Fall 2013 Collection with you, hope you will have a chance to take a look!
