The holiday season
December 11th, 2009
The holiday season is really in full swing and there are few nights that don't have multiple events. I hope I can keep the oncoming cold away long enough to make it to all of the parties! While we seem to have the manufacturing under control and are figuring out this retail stuff, I am on to focusing on marketing (AKA my idea of a social life during the business expansion:). Part of that is being out and about, meeting, mingling and building partnerships. (and doing all of this while spending time with friends, really sometimes I can't believe this is my job!)

above: three variations on wearing the Kaitlin liquid fabric dress. Julia to her job at a law firm, Kathleen wore it out that night, and me at the Where Magazine September issue release party.

I am super excited about my purchases today at SA VA. I bought the Wendy, the grey and black chevron print tank top. If you like a loose fitting tank this is for you, it is long enough that it goes a little bit below my hips/bum which is something i LOVE in a shirt and those type of shirts always become my favorites. It makes it perfect for leggings, tapered pants and skinny jeans. Roz said to me “this is going to be your everyday shirt and you know it.” It’s true…i wont be able to wear it everyday BUT its going to be a staple in my weekend wardrobe, either dressed up for a night or during the day casual not to mention this shirt with jeans shorts are going to be what i will wear all summer.
Okay my next awsome purchase (the price is so good)was the natalie jacket. I am the last person who needs another jacket but it is a great transition jacket into warmer weather (or to wear this week!) I was looking for an alternative to my leather jacket because when it gets warm i get hot wearing it! This jacket is sporty and edgy, I am looking forward to pairing it with a mini skirt or short dress in the spring for contrast…oh not to mention how flattering it looks on!!!

I’m eager to share how much I love the olive green Holly dress and why. First and foremost the color idealistic because it is complementary to all complexions (it brings out the green in my eyes!) Moreover I can wear it with both my black and brown boots, textured tights in grey, black brown and even purple. You can totally belt it at the waist if you want I’m not a big belt person and I never belt it and it still looks fabulous . Overall I consider it to be the epitome of an effortless, manageable and chic on-the-go dress which therefore generates confidence…not to mention making getting dressed in the morning so much easier!
